EMG China consolidates position as leading specialized B2B agency in plastics and chemicals sectors
2008 proves milestone year with record number of clients at leading trade events
Bergen op Zoom, February 3, 2009 – EMG continues to grow its business and strengthen its teams in China building on its focused industrial B2B specialisation, in particular in the plastics and chemicals arena. With 25 staff now employed between its Shanghai and Beijing offices, and a number of new clients acquired this year, EMG is benefiting from its highly focused and unique specialisation in industrial B2B marketing communications and media relations.
This was reflected during the Chinaplas 2008 show in April, the No.1 plastics & rubber trade fair in Asia, and No.3 in the world, where EMG China successfully supported 14 clients with their communications and media relations. This included organizing 10 press conferences and more than 30 press interviews. Additionally, EMG organized the China - U.S Plastics Industry Summit bringing together almost 300 attendees from both China and the U.S. for a series of presentations and discussions on the plastics industry. Topics included the latest technological developments and trends, future challenges and opportunities, approaches to Sino-U.S. collaborations and success stories for U.S. and Chinese companies.
More recently, at the Chinacoat show held in Guangzhou from November 26-28th, EMG managed press relations for 5 clients from the chemicals sector with activities in the paints and coatings industry, which involved both press conferences and on-stand media interviews.
“This trend is in line with our global growth strategy and mirrors our European business where we have successfully differentiated ourselves by specialising in B2B communications and media relations.” says John Gallagher, Global Accounts Director, EMG. “We believe our plastics and chemicals sector knowledge in both Europe and China is unrivalled, and this coupled with our extensive and in-depth relations with the trade media puts us in an ideal position to support our clients with their global communications ambitions, especially in today’s challenging climate.”
