Genzyme (Shanghai) Bio-pharmaceutical Service is the fully owned subsidiary of Genzyme Corporation and started operations in January 2006. Genzyme already markets Thymoglobulin® (anti-thymocyte globulin rabbit) for solid organ and blood marrow transplant, Synvisc® (hylan G-F 20) in China, and has received market approval in late 2008 for Cerezyme (Imiglucerase for injection), the first product to treat Lysosomal Storage Disorder. In addition, Genzyme has a pilot program at Beijing Wujing Hospital for MACI (Matrix-induced Autologous Chondrocyte Implantation) cell therapy and plans to introduce more products to China in 2010.

2010年2月26日，中国北京 - 今天，由中华慈善总会和中国健康教育中心/卫生部新闻宣传中心联合主办的2010罕见病科普宣传活动新闻发布会在北京诺富特和平宾馆隆重举行。中国健康教育中心/卫生部新闻宣传中心陶茂萱副主任, 中华慈善总会刘国林秘书长，民政部及卫生部相关司局领导，地方慈善会代表，罕见病救助公益基金资助企业美国健赞公司代表，罕见病医学专家代表，以及罕见病救助志愿者、罕见病患者及其家属、媒体代表等100余人出席了新闻发布会。

中华慈善总会罕见病救助公益基金正式启动
2009年12月23日，中国北京 - 今天，中华慈善总会罕见病救助公益基金启动会暨新闻发布会在北京中华慈善总会会议厅隆重举行。卫生部中国健康教育中心毛群安主任,民政部社会福利与慈善事业促进司慈善和社会捐助处郑远长处长， 中华慈善总会领导及地方慈善会代表，首都慈善公益组织联合会代表，基金资助企业美国健赞公司代表，在京的罕见病医学专家代表，以及罕见病救助志愿者、罕见病患者及其家属、媒体代表等80余人出席了启动仪式。
2009年7月22日，中国北京 - 今天，中华慈善总会罕见病救助计划——思而赞™慈善赠药项目启动会暨新闻发布会在北京人民大会堂隆重举行。
