SGL CARBON Far East Ltd. Shanghai Received National Certification as Hi-tech Enterprises in China
Shanghai, Feb 7, 2012. SGL CARBON Far East Ltd. Shanghai, a subsidiary of SGL Group — The Carbon Company — recently recieved the certification as national Hi-tech enterprise, which was issued jointly by Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, Shanghai Municipal Finance Bureau, Shanghai Municipal Office of State Administration of Taxation and Shanghai Local Taxation Bureau.
This certificate is awarded according to the relevant regulations of Measures for the Administration of the Recognition of Hi-tech Enterprise, Guidelines for the Administration of the Recognition of High-tech Enterprise, and Implementation Measures for the Admninistration of the Recognition of Shanghai High-tech Enterprise, and issued after experts’ compliance review.

Meanwhile, SGL CARBON Far East Ltd. Shanghai has obtained 7 utility model patent certificates issued by the State Intellectual Property Office of The People's Republic of China.
The qualified hi-tech enterprises are entitled to many national preferential policies, especially the applications for national, provincial, municipal and district hi-tech projects, which enables them to receive relevant funds and enjoy R&D Super-deduction Tax Incentive Policy. These preferential policies can further improve the competitiveness of hi-tech enterprise and effectively promote the sustainable development of China’s hi-tech industry.
