Victrex® PEEK™ polymer’s unique properties provide tailor-made performance in the most demanding environments. It has a high temperature resistance with a continuous use temperature of up to 260°C, while its mechanical properties are retained to temperatures of over 300°C. In addition the polymer has high mechanical properties, excellent creep and fatigue performance and exceptional chemical resistance. It is insoluble in all common solvents and resistant to a wide range of organic and inorganic liquids.

Other key properties of Victrex® PEEK™ are high flame resistance, excellent wear resistance, with superior tribological properties under a wide range of conditions, as well as excellent hydrolysis resistance.

For applications that demand extreme heat resistance, Victrex® PEEK-HT™ delivers extended high temperature performance, while offering all the key characteristics of standard Victrex® PEEK™ polymer.

The ability to process Victrex® PEEK™ polymer using common thermoplastic processing techniques ensures freedom of design in a broad range of demanding oil and gas industry applications including: pumps, gears, compressors, impeller wheels, seals, thrust washers, valves, probes, connecting units, rings and back-up rings.
