Avery Dennison Appoints New Leader in the Greater China Region
Shanghai, China, March 7, 2012 –
Avery Dennison Label and Packaging Materials (LPM) Asia Pacific reinforced its commitment to the Greater China market by announcing new appointments in its regional leadership team. Jim Heng Lee has been named vice president and general manager, LPM Greater China succeeding Dagang Li, who has been promoted to vice president, Strategic Projects for LPM Asia Pacific. Under Dagang’s outstanding leadership for the past 16 years, Greater China has become a major growth engine to Avery Dennison’s global business development.
According to Pira International Ltd, a market intelligence firm for the packaging, paper and print industries, the output value of the global labeling and packaging industry will reach US$315 billion in 2012, with emerging markets including China, India and some East European countries expecting an annual growth rate exceeding 100 percent.

Jim Heng Lee joins Avery Dennison with vast experience in successfully driving profitable growth for businesses in the Asia Pacific region. In his most recent role, he led strategic planning and business development in Asia Pacific for Assa Abloy, a Sweden-based door opening solutions company, where he was instrumental in growing substantially their China business.
Lee will provide overall strategic direction to cross-functional teams in order to accelerate business growth. He will also be responsible for developing marketing and customer strategies and continuing to foster the company culture for local talent development. He will be based in Shanghai, China and will be responsible for organizational growth and business development for this strategic region,
as well as driving relationships with the government, industry and community.
