Victrex announces new distribution partner in Portugal

Victrex Europa has signed an agreement with FLUPOL for the distribution of Victrex® PEEK™ polymer in Portugal, with effect from October 1st 2003. Based in Campo Valonga, Portugal, FLUPOL brings an in-depth knowledge of materials and processing technologies, with a specific expertise in fluorinated polymers and coating technologies. This knowledge is backed up by a long experience in delivering tailor-made material solutions for a wide range of demanding houseware, automotive and industrial applications.

Victrex® PEEK™ polymer is an important addition to FLUPOL’s product portfolio. This unique high performance engineering polymer is a proven replacement for metal in a growing range of applications. It offers outstanding mechanical properties and chemical and wear resistance, even at elevated temperatures, combined with light weight and ease of processing. An inherent suitability for injection moulding enables products to be cost-effectively mass-produced with consistent precision while providing significant savings in both cost and weight.
