CHEMTURA RAISES PRICES ON DE-83R AND FIREMASTER® 2100 FLAME RETARDANTS

MIDDLEBURY, CT –In response to significant raw material, energy and freight cost inflation, Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) will increase the price of the flame retardants DE-83R and Firemaster® 2100 up to 15%.The price increase will be effective for shipments after September 15th, 2008, or where contracts allow.

PRICE INCREASE: WITCOBOND® POLYURETHANE DISPERSIONS

Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) announces that prices for Witcobond® Polyurethane Dispersions will be increased by 15%, effective October 1, 2008, or as contracts allow. This change is directly related to escalating raw materials and operating costs.

CHEMTURA INCREASES PRICES ON ORGANOTIN STABILIZERS

MIDDLEBURY, CT – Effective September 1, 2008, or as contract terms allow, Chemtura Corporation(NYSE:CEM) will increase the base price of its organotin stabilizers globally by 6%.

CHEMTURA INCREASES PRICES ON BLENDEX® PRODUCTS

Due to the continuing and rapid escalation of the cost of key raw materials, particularly butadiene, Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) will increase prices of its Blendex® products globally, by up to $3.53/kg (approximately 25%) depending on the grade. The increase is effective September 1st 2008 or as contacts allow.

CHEMTURA INCREASES PRICES ON MARK® MIXED METAL STABILIZERS

MIDDLEBURY, CT –Effective 18th August 2008, or as contract terms allow, Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) will increase the price of its Mark® mixed metal stabilizers for customers in all regions.

In response to significant raw material and freight cost inflation, Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) will increase the price on Tetrabromobisphenol A. Effective for shipments on or after August 15, 2008, or where contracts allow, the new minimum price for BA-59P will be $2.95/kg.

Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) will increase the price of nonylphenol by $0.14/lb, effective on all deliveries on or after July 15, 2008, or as contracts allow. The price increase is the result of a continued increase in raw material and energy costs.
