CHEMTURA RAISES PRICES ON DE-83R AND FIREMASTER® 2100 FLAME RETARDANTS
MIDDLEBURY, CT –In response to significant raw material, energy and freight cost inflation, Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) will increase the price of the flame retardants DE-83R and Firemaster® 2100 up to 15%.The price increase will be effective for shipments after September 15th, 2008, or where contracts allow.

CHEMTURA INCREASES PRICES ON BLENDEX® PRODUCTS
Due to the continuing and rapid escalation of the cost of key raw materials, particularly butadiene, Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) will increase prices of its Blendex® products globally, by up to $3.53/kg (approximately 25%) depending on the grade.
