Muttenz, February 26, 2019 – Chemberry, an innovative internet platform enabling chemical buyers to easily find the ingredients they need, will expand its features and support potentially beyond Personal Care in 2019.

Chemberry currently indexes 10,000+ Personal Care formulation products from active ingredients through to colorants, emulsifiers and UV filters – a figure set to rise to 30,000+ by the end of spring 2019. To date, Chemberry has had more than 35,000 visitors and almost 30,000 searches conducted on the platform.

During 2019, more intelligence will be added to the Chemberry search engine to make the search process even more convenient for Personal Care buyers. Other features in the pipeline include more advanced analytics dashboards for suppliers, and using automation to improve efficiency in the way product data is extracted from existing supplier websites.

Feedback from both buyers and suppliers has been positive in the four months since Chemberry launched. Buyers are welcoming the access to many product options from just one site and praise the search and comparison service for its ease-of-use and time-saving benefits. Chemberry’s one-of-a-kind cross referencing and industry-specific filters give the option to search by company, function, product claim, application, and chemical composition as well as certification. Users can also explore latest market information and trends to inform their buying decisions and accelerate future innovation.

At the same time, suppliers commend the simple business model and appreciate not needing to upload, update or maintain their information. Chemberry features relevant chemical suppliers and their products by automatically extracting and organizing product information from their existing websites. To support business development, suppliers can benefit from access to search trends and identify warm leads based on buyer behavior.

Chemberry aims to be the most comprehensive source of ingredients online and is currently evaluating possible rollout to further industry sectors.

Chemberry is an industry initiative started by Clariant but operates out of its own organizational unit strictly separated from other business activities to ensure confidentiality, compliance, and neutrality of the platform. Clariant is openly seeking co-investors to join the Chemberry venture.
