STANYL® PRICE INCREASE
DSM Engineering Plastics has confirmed a 6% price adjustment for all grades of Stanyl® high performance polyamide 46 resin.
A spokesperson for DSM EP explained: "Over the past years, prices of Stanyl® grades have been kept stable through our continuous efforts to improve operational efficiency. However, due to the incremental accumulation of cost increases combined with the recent significant escalations in raw material and energy costs, we now need to respond to the current situation and have to pass on part of these cost increases."
He added that Stanyl PA 46 remains a cost effective solution, "because easier moulding reduces part cost often by much more than a few % on material cost, and it gives the processor a better return on his assets with shorter cycle times leading to higher utilisation and improved return on investment. Parts can be made thinner because of better high temperature properties, and this leads directly to material cost savings.
DSM Engineering Plastics is and remains highly committed to its customers and markets, with continuous investments in engineering plastics solutions, product developments and production expansion in order to serve global demand."
