GLS ASSURES HIGH STANDARDS WORLDWIDE WITH SWIFT ISO 9001:2000 CERTIFICATION OF SUZHOU, CHINA, FACILITY

GUANGZHOU, CHINA – May 21, 2007 – GLS Corp., a global leader in the development, manufacture, and supply of high-performance, custom-formulated thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs), announced here at Chinaplas 2007 that its plant in Suzhou Industrial Park, Suzhou, China, has achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification in less than one year. The facility, which opened in June 2006, is already running three shifts and producing more than 40 grades of standard and custom TPEs for global and local customers.

Daniel Dague, president of GLS Corp., said, “This is yet another confirmation of our goal to provide world-class product performance, at the highest quality, to all of our global customers. We opened our GLS plant in Suzhou, China, in order to better serve both our Asian customers as well as customers in other world markets, and to provide local Asian service, support, and manufacturing capacity. Having earned this certification within just a few short months after the opening of this facility demonstrates to our customers that they can be assured of the same high standard of quality and service for which GLS is known globally.”

Recently, GLS also achieved recertification to ISO 14001:2004 at its main production facility in McHenry, Ill. ISO 9001:2000 applies to the processes that influence product or service quality, and ISO 14001:2004 to the processes that influence the organization’s environmental performance.

Tan, GLS’s general manager of operations for the Suzhou, China, facility, said, “Our goal was to quickly earn ISO 9001 certification to assure our multinational customers that this new facility meets the same high standards for GLS TPEs manufactured in the United States. Customers here can be assured of the same consistently high-quality, high-performance materials from this location for their needs around the globe.”
