TECHNYL® “G2”, glycol resistant grade of Rhodia, becomes "Material of Choice"
Lyon, France – June 11, 2008 – Rhodia Glycol resistant grade (TECHNYL® A 218 G2 V30) confirms its "best in class" position becoming the "material of choice" for BMW models.
Thanks to its very high performances, Rhodia's TECHNYL® A 218 G2 V30 material has recently outperformed other glass fibre reinforced Polyamides during BMW internal tests for degassing boxes. This result strengthens Rhodia's commitment to develop and supply outstanding performances materials for a high level of customer satisfaction.
A global range of Glycol Resistant products
Rhodia Polyamide confirms its leadership position in glycol resistant materials with a full range of products: TECHNYL® A 218 V30 34 NG, TECHNYL® A 218 G1 V25 and TECHNYL® A 218 G2 V30.
With an impact resistance respectively increased by 10% (for the 34NG grade), 25% (for the G1 grade) and 65% (for the G2 grade) after 1000 hours ageing at 135°C in water-glycol environment Rhodia provides the most adapted global answer to the challenges our customers are currently facing with the increasing temperature in engine.
In the meantime, the mechanical strength after ageing in the same conditions (1000 hours at 135°C in water glycol environment) of TECHNYL® A 218 G2 V30, compared to a standard resin, is dramatically increased by more than 100 %.
