SGL Group to showcase specialty graphite solutions for the automotive industry at SAECCE

Shanghai, October 26, 2016. SGL Group - The Carbon Company - will present its specialty graphite and process solutions for the automotive industry at the 2016 SAE-China Congress & Exhibition (SAECCE), which is an important platform in China for advanced automotive engineering technologies. This fair will be held on October 26-28 at the Shanghai Automobile Exhibition Center in Shanghai (SGL Group booth: E14).

To address the increasing demand of the automotive industry for energy efficient and reliable specialty graphite solutions, SGL Group is introducing at this show its broad product portfolio for the industry, such as solutions for exhaust gas recirculation systems, fuel and water pumps, vacuum pumps which are commonly seen in modern fuel vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs). For these applications, SGL Group has adopted the PTS (Pressed-to-Size) technology which provides near-net-shaped parts, minimizing the need for follow-up machining work, which is a significant advantage in terms of time and cost.
