Univar launches pan-European relationship with Innophos

Rotterdam, The Netherlands – October 8, 2007 - Univar has announced the addition of Innophos’ full range of pharmaceutical excipients to its European portfolio. The new direct relationship with Innophos will be launched officially at the CPhI Worldwide in Milan in October.

Univar Pharma Ingredients will sell and market Innophos’ full range of ingredients, which includes widely used calcium phosphates. The Innophos range encompasses di- and tri-calcium phosphate powders under the CALIPHARM® brand and the popular granular products, Di-TAB®, A-TAB® and Tri-TAB®. These products are the preferred choice of robust tablet filler or potent source of calcium for many pharmaceutical formulators.

The Innophos plant in Chicago Heights, Illinois, USA, is the largest single manufacturing facility for specialty calcium phosphate products in the world and has a long history of supplying pharmaceutical and nutraceutical manufacturers across the globe.

The phosphate products further extend the wide range of ingredients that Univar Pharma Ingredients offer to customers. The European distributor will have a strong presence at the CPhI Worldwide in Milan to ensure formulators can experience first hand these exciting ranges.
